A
woman's figure which symbolizes Athena, the Greek Goddess. The
olive leaves around her symbolize the hoop that was the prize
for the winners of the Olympic Games in ancient Greece. The
bird is the symbol of peace that came during the Olympic Games
since every war that was in action at that period ceased until
the end of the games. The circles in the woman's hand are the
Olympic circles. |
